Company Background
Nyxsense Innovation Inc. is a Canadian technology company focused on the research, design, and development of advanced imaging sensor technologies for space missions and high-performance industrial applications. Incorporated in Ontario on January 28, 2026, the company was established to address critical sensing performance gaps in modern space systems through innovative photodetector and imaging architectures.
Nyxsense is developing next-generation multi-spectral, avalanche photodetector array platforms based on proprietary silicon-germanium (SiGe) heterostructures protected by company-owned intellectual property. In parallel, the company is exploring III-V compound semiconductor materials through academic collaborations, including engagement with McMaster University, to extend spectral coverage and functionality.
The sensor platforms are engineered for ultra-high sensitivity under extremely low photon flux, low intrinsic noise, fast temporal response, and wide dynamic range across visible, near-infrared, and selected infrared bands. In addition to space applications, the technology has strong potential in scientific imaging, low-light systems, industrial inspection, and environmental monitoring.
